Ice cream makes it all better!

It started raining so we detoured to Bouncyland. Molly has a tendency to lay down in the pit you jump into in one of the bounce houses. I am constantly telling her to get up and out so the next kid can jump and so she won't get jumped on. Sure enough today she was jumped on (her leg). I had to crawl in and retrieve her since she was pretty upset. Not an easy task I might add. I took her over to a chair so I could assess the damage. As soon as I mentioned ice cream she hopped up out of my lap and ran over to the freezer to make her selection.

Ice cream has magical healing properties in case you didn't know.

Our little lover.

Molly has a strong stream of affection for her friends. Can you tell? :)

Fantasy Faire, the videos

Mother's Day Dinner

In keeping with tradition we headed to The Village California Bistro and Wine Bar for Mother's Day dinner. We've been there every year since Molly was born and I must say it's a lovely tradition.

Fantasy Faire

Earlier this month the Los Gatos Parents Nursery School put on a Fantasy Faire. As soon as I saw that they had pony rides I knew we'd be attending. We headed over right when it started and met up with Chris, Carina, and Temperence. First up, PONY RIDES!

"Mommy, you go THAT way! I'll just ride this pony back to our house thank you very much."

She could have done this all day long.

Molly telling Temperence something very important, I'm sure.

Being very gentle with the bunnies:

I told Molly to pet the birdies with two fingers thinking this would make her less likely to grab them. It worked! The peacock started to follow Molly around when the other kids would grab at him.

Saying hello to the other birdies.

Too cool for school.

Chris, Carina, and Temperence took off for nap time and we had a quick snack break before Logan and Bree showed up.

Robert and Connor also showed up with Jenn and their B-Ma. I think the boys are dancing... maybe?

Second pony ride of the day. This time she told me to stay put while she did laps.

I have a sneaking suspicion Molly was trying to negotiate another lap.

When your kid uses a parachute as a blanket it's time to head home.

Best seat in the house

(Note all the toys behind her on the futon that were dumped out.)

UCSB

When we went down to Santa Barbara last month I took Molly on a tour of the UCSB campus. She was pretty stoked to see Mommy's "school".

Girvetz Hall, in all its ghetto-glory (where I had a LOT of classes):

For contrast, a lovely new Engineering building:

OK, the quad between Girvetz and South Hall (English Department) was pretty decent:

Can you tell what the popular mode of transportation is?

Not to be outdone by the pets...

Sometimes Molly likes to hang out at my feet and play under the table when I'm at my computer. I don't ask why as long as she plays quietly.

Snowing in Tahoe

Some friends are at our cabin in Tahoe and just sent me this. About 2 inches of new snow in the last 2 hours. What month is it?

CAKE!!!

Someone likes the hottub.

Molly and Daddy have been in the hottub 3 times this week. Cutie pie is such a fish!

"I want to go for a ride in daddy's car."

N got home early and Molly jumped on the opportunity for some daddy time by asking to go for a ride in his car.

New hair length?

I'm thinking of having Molly's hair cut into a bob for summer. About the length on the longest piece you see sticking out of her hoodie. She won't let me put it up so I think a shorter 'do will help on those hot days. Thoughts?

iPhone pics

Finally got around to synching my iPhone after who knows how long. I tend to take a lot of pics when Molly and I are out and about and I forget my actual camera (which is often). Here are some of my favorites:

Nightly walk to the Rose Garden:

Ticket in hand for the train at the SF Zoo:

Swinging with Temperence at the park:

My little monkey loves this rock climbing wall at the park just down the street.

This was taken VERY shortly after the Royal Wedding pic with Granny.

Molly LOVES her Lemur.

Attacking Daddy.

Someone's happy it rained last night...
