Play date with Jack
We went to Lowe's and picked up some Calla Lilly plants. The dirt in the front yard was moved around and some calla lilly bulbs survived the shuffle and have popped up in a few random spots. I wanted to fill in the holes. The kids then begged me to pick up some flowers so we planted those too.

Busted!
Molly and N are watching Enchanted on the couch. N gets up to go to the bathroom and Molly bounds after him so she can shut the door so he can have some privacy. N comes out and before he even gets all the way in the living room Molly asks him, "Did you wash your hands?" N turns around and heads back to the bathroom. Then he comes back out and Molly asks to smell his hands to verify that he did indeed wash them.
It's good to know *some* things are sinking in. I wonder what else Molly can teach daddy.

Monkey child
One of Molly's favorite things to do in gymnastics class is climb as tall as she can on the rope ladder/net.
New shoes
Finally, a pair of shoes that doesn't require socks! Molly is super stoked!
They are the Merrell Kids Barefoot Trail Glove 2 (in wineberry).

Proud Molly
Molly and I went mattress shopping and she was very proud of the tower she made. She wanted me to take a pic and post it on the blog. Done and done.

sick bug
Tuesday night Molly passed out on the couch while watching tv and sitting up right around 7:30 pm.
In hindsight, I should have known something was up when my Eskimo child asked for a second blanket. When I went to move her to bed she felt really warm, but I chalked that up to the two blankets. Then she woke up and proceeded to meltdown. I took her temp at was 102.1. Got some meds in her and let her stay up until it went back down to 100.1.
The next morning it was 99.9 and stayed in that range most of the day. Molly was extra clingy, but would have bouts of normal activity followed by complete lethargy. It was a long day, but by that evening her temp was back down to normal. That night she passed out on the couch around 6:30 pm. Once again sitting up right.
Going... going...
Teyo promptly fell asleep in the car so we ran as many errands as we could with him in his car seat. I definitely think ALL businesses should have a drive thru!
Molly was a champ and practiced her writing while Teyo slept.
However, she did want to take him home for a sleepover and couldn't understand why we had to take him back to school to his mommy.

Going... going...
Gone.
Every time I tried to move her to bed she'd wake back up and freak out. So we stayed cuddled on the couch for a bit until I was sure her temp had not returned. I finally got her in bed and she seemed back to normal the next day. However, little one needs to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school so I intended to keep her home again. Another mom at the school ran into child care issues and was fine with the fact that it had not been a full 24 hours that Molly was without a fever so we took care of her son while she worked at the school. His name is Teyo. We hit Lowe's for some paint for the bedroom and then went to In N' Out for lunch. Molly insisted on peeling his Cutie orange for him and make sure Teyo had plenty to eat.Teyo promptly fell asleep in the car so we ran as many errands as we could with him in his car seat. Not a morning person...
About 20 minutes ago her door opened up and she went to the bathroom. I expected her to come out when she was done, but instead she went back into her room and closed the door. She did open her blinds and then crawled back in bed. Molly positioned herself to look out the window, but she's been chilling like this for the last 10 minutes or so. Is she ever going to see daylight when she's a teenager?

Impromptu bedroom remodel
Once I ordered Molly's new sheets and then a new set for our bed I was on a roll. I ended up ordering a new bedroom set. The new bedroom set I was gifted for our 5th wedding anniversary as the traditional gift was wood. (Yes, we just celebrated our 10th) The new set (Chase storage platform bed, headboard, 2 nightstands, and 3 drawer dresser) was delivered on Thursday. It's been sitting in our dining room and living room (still in boxes) so it was time to finally take care of the to do list for our bedroom. First up? Removing the entire contents of our bedroom so the floors could be sanded and sealed.
First coat completed:
Floors are done.
Last night N put primer on all the walls. Then today he hopped on a plane to LA. Next step is painting.

Happy Birthday Leo!
Today Molly went to a Super Hero Training Camp birthday party at Pump It Up for Leo's birthday. The kids had a blast. I tried to get Molly to wear her Wonder Woman t-shirt or come up with some other costume, but she wanted to go as Super Hero Belly Dancer. Of course...
