halfway there
Yesterday afternoon I noticed Molly's bottom right molar has come in. We're now up to 10 teeth. I'm actually quite impressed with how well she's been handling them. They sure have been coming fast and furious lately with the last 4 teeth erupting in a little less than a week. Molly was a little clingy yesterday as she just wanted to be held. This made cleaning the house a little tricky, but if that's all I have to deal with when molars are coming in I'll take it. We gave her a half a dose of tylenol last night before bed as it looked like the molar still had a little ways to go before it was fully in and it worked like a charm. Little bug slept almost 12 hours. I'll take it!

First molar...
It looks like Molly's first molar has come in, her bottom left. This explains her waking up the past few nights. It started Friday night when she woke up around 4 and just wanted to be held. It's pretty unusual for her to get up in the middle of the night so I suspected it was teething related, but I thought it was in regards to the two teeth that popped through last week. She was up for about an hour and half and then proceeded to sleep in until almost 9. She actually fell asleep on N while he watched Battlestar and then cried herself to sleep when he put her back down. It didn't last long, maybe 5 minutes. Then Saturday night we drove back from Tahoe and Molly fell asleep right away (about 6:30 pm). She only woke up during our stop and slept pretty much the rest of the drive. She also slept through the transition to bed, but then woke up around 6:00 am. However, she then proceeded to have a 4 hour nap yesterday so something was going on. Then this morning she woke up a little after 5:00 am screaming. N took the first shift until 6:00 and then I took over until about 7:00 when she finally fell back asleep. Molly would only scream when we tried to put her back down. She just wanted to sleep on us in her rocker. She slept in until 9:30 or so and then went down for a two hour nap around 12:30. When I was changing her after her nap I noticed the molar had come in. Other than being a bit fussy during the night with some interrupted sleep she has given no other indication that she was teething. Hopefully the rest of the teeth come in with as little fan fare.

Made it to the pond...
N was kind enough to be on Molly duty this morning so I could take advantage of the gorgeous weather and go on a hike. I took off just as Molly was going down for her morning nap and got back home just as she was waking up. I made it up to the pond that we usually take the dogs to. I got lucky and could follow snowmobile tracks most of the way, but the last bit up to the pond (0.3 miles according to N and google maps) was just me and my snowshoes. Once I got there I was greeted by a bounding yellow lab and some cross country skiers. I don't think I followed our normal path the entire time as it's pretty disorienting with the snow coverage and openness from the fires. Every now and then I'd recognize some landmarks and realize I was off the trail just a bit. The trip back was a lot faster as it's mostly downhill. Lovely day.

more teeth
Looks like #7 and #8 have decided to pop through. It's both of Molly's bottom lateral incisors. They have been threatening to poke through for about a week, but now I can definitely see them. This might explain the little cold Molly's been dealing with since Monday. She was in much better spirits yesterday so I think everything has been teething related. She did wake up in the middle of the night (Tuesday night, well technically really early on Wednesday) and was up for about an hour which is very unlike her. So I think that's probably when they finally broke through. That makes all 4 incisors on the top and bottom. Now we get to deal with the canines (bit more painful) and the molars (most painful). Fun times.
Molly's cardio
Molly loves to chase the dogs around and laugh hysterically while doing it. We've found this is an excellent part of her bed time routine. Great way to get those last bits of energy out.

Snow, Round 2
It was an absolutely gorgeous day out so I decided to bundle Molly up for round two in the snow. Still not much of a fan, but she had less of a breakdown this time. She didn't mind the sled as much when we were behind the cabin and the snow wasn't as deep. I don't think she liked the deep powder because she felt like she was going to tip over at any minute (and a few times she did). The powder goes pretty deep as I was sinking in up to my waist in spots. We did a quick loop and then we headed out front. Molly was much happier walking around on the street that was nice and clear thanks the to sun that came out today in full force (oh and I'm sure the snowplow helped too). As we were heading back in I put Molly down in our driveway, but even those few inches proved to be too much. We'll keep trying...

Snow 1, Molly 0
We got Molly all bundled up in her snow suit and then N immediately took her outside. By the time I got my snow gear on and got outside Molly was already done. We tried to pull her around on the sled, but she was already upset with the whole situation. I didn't get gloves on her because she was already getting very annoyed by the time I got her boots, snow bib, and jacket on. Her jacket is a size too big so I think that's part of the problem. I bought her snow gear back in October when everything came out in the stores and wasn't quite sure what size to get. But it was a good thing I picked everything up when I did because swim suits and sandals were in stores by the time Christmas was over. We rolled her sleeves up so her hands were free, but I think they got too cold. We're going to try again. This time we are both going to be in our gear so we can just get her dressed and head out and both be there to distract her. We have all week. She better get used to it! ;-)
(N did take pics with his camera... who knows when you'll actually see them.)

greetings from Tahoe

Gotta love good neighbors!
As we drove up and saw all the snow we (mainly N as it would be his back) started to worry about how bad our driveway would be. When we turned onto our street we both let out a cheer as we could pull right on in thanks to our neighbor Lonnie. He tends to plow our driveway when he's done with his. Need to make sure we pick him up a bottle of something as a thank you when we hit the store.
Tahoe bound!
On our way to Tahoe with dogs *and* cats in tow. Caravanning with Uncle Kyle. Looking forward to some fun in the snow.

"Disk is Full"
That is the lovely message that popped up in iPhoto when I went to import my last batch of pictures. Took almost 16 months, but I finally took enough pics to fill my laptop. N has already set me up with backups so my files are in two different places, but he's going to do another level of backup so I can clear off some files on my laptop and free up some space. Ah, what a milestone.
Here are some of my favorites from the last few weeks...
Another historical moment:
I could tell she was getting over her stomach flu when she turned into a freakin' monkey:
Pasta is gooooood:
Did someone say winter?

A Day of Beauty
N decided to take today off so he could spend some time with Molly and give me a break. As soon as I got that message I was on the phone making spa arrangements. A Day of Beauty was the name of the package I got. Treatments started at 10:00 am and I was done at 3:30 pm. LOVED every single minute of it. I feel nice and relaxed so I decided to skip Muay Thai tonight. No need to undo hours of paid relaxation time.
