Daddy's little helper

The bungees for the trampoline were shot so N ordered a new set.  Molly is assisting with the install.

Making her bed

So THAT's how she does it!

Hanging up her dress…

… after a long night of dancing.

First School Dance

(aka the cutest thing ever!!!)

D1 was hosting a dance and invited our school to join.  When I told this to Molly she actually squealed with glee.  It was beyond adorable.  We already had a play date set up with her friend Piper so we just brought her to the dance too.  The girls went through several outfit changes before deciding on the right one.  (Yes, I had a glimmer of what the high school years will be like).

N got some video too… hopefully he will upload them soon.

All done... packed up and heading out!

Art Exploration

Another Art Exploration after school… another treasure made.

A whole lotta commotion…

All of a sudden I noticed a lot of lights flashing in our living room and then it got really bright in our dining room.  There's a hospital up the street so flashing lights are not new… but the bright light shining into our living room caught my attention.  Turns out the neighbors across the street had an incident with their gas line… and once you mention gas line EVERYONE comes.

Braiding her own hair

Molly is getting pretty good at braiding her own hair.

Building castles

Molly wanted some dixie cups so she could build castles.  They stack into each other for easy clean up. Best toy purchase ever.

Play Date with Temperence

Complete with outfit change.

Shellie

We headed to SCPNS today so Molly and Temperence could play while Chris and Carina took care of their maintenance duties.  It was such a nice day I decided Shellie needed to come out and play.  She had a great time cruising around the lawn and stretching her legs.

Super Shellie!!!

Saturday mornings

Since Molly does not see N much during the week she has declared Saturday mornings as "Molly & daddy time".  They headed down to Stacks for a father/daughter breakfast date and I crawled back into bed and lazed around with the furry kids.

I love how Michael started to paw at Sadie to move and then just gave up and fell asleep… cats.

Molly artwork

The top is art work Molly's class did for the Open House tours.  We were decorating the walls in the Atrium (center office area of the school) with student art work.

This is a picture of me in a black gown for "when daddy (N) takes you to a ball."  Ok then…

"Bring greenery"

…, they said.
"How much?"
"Your call."

That outta do it!

(Preparing for our first set of Open House tours at school next week)

Michael

Michael is definitely getting demanding in his old age… he will walk right over Sadie and Chai and sit right up on your chest and demand attention and love.

 Close enough for ya?

Morning drop off

We got to school a little early this morning and headed to the playground.  Afterwards Temperence and I picked up some donuts and I dropped her off at home.

Best. Slide. Ever

Temperence is spending the night as there is an Evening Meeting at SCPNS that Chris will be attending.  It is also Molly's friend Jackson's birthday so we met up with them at Round Table Pizza to celebrate.  Before everyone arrived the girls had a great time on the indoor playground.  Must remember to come back here…

Happy Birthday Leo!

Molly and I went to Rockin' Jump today to celebrate Leo's 5th birthday.  It was an indoor trampoline place and the kiddos had a great time running around.  I was holding Leo's little sister Aubrey when a few parents informed me Molly was crying.  She was in the Big Rockin' Arena with the big kids.  Molly had figured out she could run up the dividers between trampolines, jump once, and clear it over to the next divider.  There was a curtained off area for 6 & Under, but she was having fun running around… and not paying attention to the big kids.  I could not see her from where I was standing as the opening to the Arena was not very big.  She came up to me crying and two seconds later a young boy (I'd guess 11 to 12 years old) came running up.  He was mid flip when she ran under him.  He apologized profusely and told me there was nothing to grab on to as he was in the air and he was really sorry he landed on her.  I had to give him credit for fessing up immediately and taking responsibility.  Molly was more shaken up than anything.  I asked some employees for an ice pack and we went over to some couches.

Luckily Aubrey was a great distraction and before you know it Molly was trying to get her to laugh.  With Molly's fair skin it would have been pretty clear if she had been hurt.  Other than some red blotches from crying she was fine.  Before I knew it she was back to the Rockin' Splash area (foam pit) and doing front flips.  This area is one kid at a time and I think she felt safe there.  However, she did return to the Big Rockin' Arena before the party ended, but this time she kept to the 6 & Under area.

More inflatables…

More Christmas inflatables arrived today… Molly convinced N to set them up in her room.
