Lazy dogs
It only took a couple of weeks, but they finally got to the point where they would sleep instead of constantly playing. We were crating Chai to give the other dogs a rest. I was woken up several times to play sessions at 3:00 in the morning… freakin' Chai!!!

Molly's picture
We've been dog sitting and Molly drew this picture. She's the one in the middle. The big dog on the right is Tobey. The big dog on the left is Chai. The little dog on top of Chai is Grover.

Tree Trimming
Our neighbors were getting their tree trimmed and their workers needed access to our backyard. Since the crew was already out and the boss stopped by I got a quote. We ended up getting our tree done right afterwards since it was due.

Reptiles
Molly is currently signed up for the "Brought to You" after school classes from Education Encounters. Every week is different and this past week was all about reptiles. At the bottom you can see a pic of Dale Jones (the school's Executive Director and current acting principle).
(Sorry mom!)

Molly and Grandpa
Molly held a screening of Frozen at our house for Aunt Tracey and Grandpa as they had not seen it yet.
I think N looks a little jealous of the seating arrangement, don't you?
Santa Cruz
Molly watching Frozen in the hotel room:
It was overcast when we woke up:
The view from our room:
We headed down to Capitola to my parent's favorite coffee shop, Mr. Toots. Molly is always traveling with art supplies these days and made herself right at home.
Aunt Tracey loved the little books Molly's teacher taught her how to make out of a single piece of paper and got busy on her very own story.
The view from Mr. Toots. As you can see the fog had burned off rather nicely…
On our drive home we stopped for snacks and had them under this very lovely tree. It was an absolutely gorgeous day.

Granny's birthday dinner
Molly insisted on packing multiple dresses so she would have choices. I fear traveling with her when she's a teenager.
A better shot of our view.
Dig the socks...
Arriving at Shadowbrook for dinner.
We took the Hillavator down and Molly was very intrigued by the whole thing.
Granny and Aunt Tracey
Molly and I took a post dinner walk around the grounds. I quickly showed Molly the tree down by the river (it is in a planter) that daddy shoved mommy into right before asking her to marry him. The entire area was reserved for a 50th wedding anniversary party and they were doing a cocktail reception on that same patio so I didn't take any pics.
Getting her twirl on…
Wearing Granny's birthday headband while eating Granny's birthday ice cream sundae… as it should be. (I bought Granny a Nothing Bundt Cake that was waiting for us back at the hotel).
Santa Cruz Wharf
I picked Molly up at school a bit early today and pulled her out at lunch time. We then headed over to Santa Cruz to meet up with Granny, Grandpa, and Aunt Tracey for a late lunch at Stagnaro Bros on the wharf.
View from lunch (looking at the Dream Inn, where we stayed):
View in the other direction:
After lunch we walked down to say hi to the sea dogs that like to hang out under the wharf.
Molly was VERY interested.
A group of them hanging out just off the wharf…
SOOO very excited!
