To do list

Molly marched into my room this morning with our to do list for the day.  That's a Christmas Tree on the left… the checkbox is for when we are done.  I had to do some quick negotiations as N did not return home yesterday as planned.  He was stuck in Dallas due to an Icepocalypse and I did my best to convince Molly we needed to give him another day to try and get home.  There were tears… but eventually I got her to give him a day.  

You see for Molly Christmas is all about the tree.

Christmas in the Park dry run

I took Light Rail downtown today for a dry run.  All four Kindergarten and TK classes are going on a Field Trip on Tuesday and I wanted to scope things out.  

Holy moly, is that frost?!?

No wonder the dogs didn't want to pee this morning… 

Damn.

That moment when you are all ready for bed and you realize your clean sheets are still in the dryer.  

Advent calendars

Eh, I'm a few days late… Molly won't mind when she sees them in the morning and has several days of goodies to catch up on.  

Play date with Granny

We headed over to Granny's house after school for a play date.  Granny had these Rudolph candy canes she wanted to make.  Let's just say Elmer's glue was not the right call… those darn red noses!

When Molly and I got home I saw a slip from Edible Arrangements for a missed delivery.  I called and they were still open so Molly and I headed down.  On our drive back Molly starts yelling at me to turn. I oblige and we come across this CRAZY house that's completely decked out for the holidays.

We got home and promptly tore into the gift from daddy.  It was delicious!

Jackson play date

Happy Birthday mutts!

We rescued Sadie back in February 2003.  When we first brought her home the vet thought she was a Beagle/Jack Russell mix as she was only 15 lbs.  We guesstimated her birthday to be roughly mid-November 2002.  However, when she grew to be 60 lbs we figured she might have been a little younger when we got her.  Chai was roughly 6 months old when we brought her home back in June 2011 which would put her birthday at early December 2010.  

So, Happy 11th Birthday (ish) Sadie and Happy 3rd Birthday (ish) Chai!

Molly/Daddy brunch date

Molly insisted that she was going to Bill's Cafe with daddy… and daddy only.  It was fine by me since I was still feeling under the weather.  I just love that she finally wore her EASTER dress in December!
