Fire Station Visit

Molly and I visited the Seven Springs Fire Station today (a hop and a skip from my parent's old place) with a mom's group I'm a part of. I let Robert's Nana know about it as she watches him during the week and lives a few blocks away. Robert was a fireman for Halloween and LOVES fire trucks and was easily the most excited kid there. He even answered some questions during the Q&A with the fireman that gave us the tour.

We started out in the office part of the fire station where the kids were more interested in the recliner than paying attention to what the fireman was saying.

However, once we made it out to where the fire trucks were they were all sorts of interested.

Everyone was able to take their turn sitting in the fire truck and that was definitely the best part of the whole adventure.

I had every intention of charging my camera's battery before we left, but I could not find my camera for the life of me this morning. I finally did come across it as we were packing up to leave, but didn't have time to charge it. Sure enough the little red battery pack was blinking on the screen as soon as I turned it on. So I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I would have liked, but I was able to get a few key shots in.

The rest of the pictures from the day can be found here.
