Date Night

I've had my eye on Tigelleria in downtown Campbell for a few months now. Nathan and I went this evening for date night and the food was divine. I started out with the caprese di bufala (buffalo mozzarella, organic roma tomatoes, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil) and Nathan got the cavolo nero (black kale tossed in lemon juice, honey & olive oil with mango, pine nuts & homemade goat & walnut cheese). I also ordered one of their Blueberry Lemonades (cabana cachaça house infuse blueberry liqueur & fresh organic lemonade) that went down a little *too* smooth. For the main entrée I ordered capriolo ai mirtilli ( all natural pan-seared venison. served with blueberry and chianti wine sauce over carrot and potatoes puree’) and Nathan got the fish special. It was very filling, but it didn't take much convincing from our waiter to go for dessert. At his suggestion we got the torta ai frutti di bosco (wildberry shortcake. layers of velvety mixed-berry mousse (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry and raspberry), lady finger cookies and thick whipping cream with chunks of extra-dark italian chocolate). We will DEFINITELY be going back.
