Christmas in the Park

The TK class decorated a tree for the school.

Cutest Frosty ever!

Molly's favorite display.

I bought orange shirts for the kids to wear over their jackets.  We were one of four classes going from our school and there were several other schools there.  It definitely helped us easily identify which kids were ours.

The kids had a great time.  We stayed a little over an hour and caught an earlier light rail back.  All four classes ended up on the same train.  When I did my dry run last Friday the train stopped at every stop.  Not so much on our way back.  I told the parents and Teacher Katie our stop was next and then we went right through it.  Four classes and not a single person thought to hit the stop request button.  Heh.  We got off at the next stop and had to wait about 10 minutes for the next train North.  The kids were a bit tired at this point and a few started to melt down.  It didn't help that this stop and our final stop were IN THE MIDDLE of the freeway.  Yup, Platform is pretty narrow and then you have the freeway whizzing by in both directions.  Made things a leeeetle nerve-wracking.

We got all the kids back to class in time for lunch and they were super hungry.  The parents on the field trip all looked a little shell shocked.  I headed to a nearby restaurant with one dad for lunch… and a beer!
