but, you know, you can just use the spring loaded slider to keep the lever down so that she can't lift it up to use it....(we have the same gate). it's a pain to use the additional spring loaded part, but seems like that's what you'll have to do now that she's figured out the lever goes up! :)
The lever wasn't snapped down, but she knows the spring loaded part has to go back in order to release the lever. Fortunately she can't seem to get the slider part back *and* the lever up at the same time. However, she understands what needs to be done and she's working on it. It's only a matter of time.
hehe well if she figures it out, maybe you guys *should* look at the one we have (with the cat door), since the spring loaded slider part is WAY SUPER strong and no kid will have enough upper body strength to be able to pull it back in order to open it.... (not sure if yours is less "springy" than ours? but I don't think any of the kiddos are strong enough to be able to pull ours to the side)
either way - good luck!! maybe you'll just have to get the old fashioned kind that has no gate installed inside it :)

I'll just add an electric fence. One brush with that and she'll stop.
