When Molly and I got back from swim lessons/park play date yesterday we found Sadie in her kennel... surrounded by little bits of bloody bandage. Someone forgot to put her cone on before leaving for work and Sadie had taken advantage of the time alone and tore out 4 staples.
*sigh*
I got an appointment with our local vet and N came home from work to take her as it was smack dab in the middle of Molly's nap time. Four stitches and a new purple bandage later and she was all set. She didn't actually open her wound, but it was pretty swollen. Sadie is now permanently a cone head when we're not feeding her.

My dog Max used to have his cone on even when he was eating. It would come down to the floor and you'd just see this cone moving about and snuffling snorting noises!
